How does it work?

  1. 1Paste the public URL of your menu: your website page, or a public link to a PDF stored on Google Drive, Dropbox or your own hosting.
  2. 2Pick a template (Minimal, Elegant or Modern), the label (View the menu, Scan the menu or Menu) and, if you like, the restaurant name.
  3. 3Choose the print format: table card, A6, A5 or A4, and check the preview.
  4. 4Download the result as PNG or PDF and print it. Then scan it with a phone to make sure the menu opens without a login.

What is Restaurant Menu QR Code?

A menu QR code is a static QR code that contains the web address of your menu. When a guest scans it, the phone opens that page in its browser. It replaces printed menus that need reprinting whenever a dish or price changes, or complements them on tables and windows.

We do not host PDFs or any other file. To use a PDF menu, upload it first to a service or website you control, make the link public, and paste that URL here. The tool never receives the file, only the link, and it does not check that the address works, so always test it.

Because the code is static, the address is fixed inside the picture. If you replace the menu file while keeping its link, printed codes keep working: Google Drive's Manage versions option does exactly that, and a page on your own website can be edited in place. If the link itself changes, you must print a new code.

When should you use it?

  • On restaurant tables, as a small card that lets guests read the menu without touching a shared copy.
  • In a café window or on the door, so passers-by can check the menu and prices before coming in.
  • At a food truck or market stall, on the counter sign, when a full printed menu would not fit.
  • For hotels and bars, in rooms, on the pool deck or on the bar, to show room service or drinks lists.
  • At events and catering, on a poster or a table tent that shows today's menu or a set-price offer.

This tool runs in your browser. What you type, paste or open is processed on your device by JavaScript and is not sent to our servers, stored or shared. Your data stays on your device.

The menu link and restaurant name are turned into the code and the card in your browser. No file is uploaded and nothing is stored by the tool. Your guests will connect to whichever site hosts the menu, not to this tool.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I upload my menu PDF here?

No, the tool does not host files. Upload the PDF to your own website, Google Drive, Dropbox or a similar service, set the link to public, and paste that link. The QR code will then open the PDF from where you stored it.

How do I update the menu without reprinting the QR code?

Keep the same link and replace the file behind it. On Google Drive you can use Manage versions to upload a new file that keeps the same share link, and on a website you can simply overwrite the page or file.

Guests see a request to sign in. What went wrong?

The link is probably private. Set the sharing option to anyone with the link and test it in a private browser window, or on a phone that is not signed in to your account.

Which print size should I choose?

A table card suits a small stand on each table. A6 fits a tent card or a bill folder, A5 is good for a counter, and A4 is meant for a window or a wall. Leave the white margin around the QR code intact so it scans reliably.

Will the code work for a long time?

The code itself never expires, because it is static and holds the link inside. Its lifetime depends on how long the page or file at that address stays online.
