What is QR Code Labels on A4?

Sheets of adhesive labels come with a fixed grid, and the labels must line up with it. The tool draws each QR code and its caption into that grid and writes a real vector PDF, not a screenshot, so the edges stay sharp at any size and the millimetre dimensions are exact.

The ready templates cover the common divisions of an A4 page into 4, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 21, 24, 30 or 40 labels. If your sheet is different, a custom layout lets you enter the page size, the label width and height, the gaps between labels and the page margins. Reading the numbers from the packaging of your label paper is the most reliable way to match it.

All codes are static: the text of each row is stored in the image, with no redirect, expiry or scan statistics. A caption is only printed text beside the code, so it does not change what the code contains.

When should you use it?

• Tagging shelves, boxes, tools or equipment with a code and a readable name.
• Producing name badges, table markers or seat labels for an event from a list.
• Printing stickers with a link to a manual, a feedback form or a product page.
• Finishing a partly used sheet by starting at the first free label so that none are wasted.

Printing at 100 %

Open the PDF in a viewer and, in the print dialog, choose Actual size or 100 %. Turn off Fit to page and Shrink to fit, because any scaling moves the labels away from the sticker grid.

Do a test print on plain paper first and hold it against the label sheet in front of a light. If the outlines match, load the label paper. Also check that your printer is not adding its own margins, and use a high print quality for a sharper code.

Leave a clear border of blank space around each QR code, and test-scan one printed label before printing the full run.
