How does it work?

  1. 1Pick the store: Apple App Store or Google Play.
  2. 2Paste the app URL, or enter the numeric App ID (Apple) or the package name such as com.company.app (Google Play).
  3. 3Set colours, module style, size and margin, then scan the preview with a phone of the matching platform.
  4. 4Download PNG, SVG or PDF, or copy the image. Repeat with the other store if you support both.

What is App Store & Google Play QR Code?

The two stores use different address shapes. An Apple listing looks like https://apps.apple.com/app/id123456789, where the digits after id are the numeric App ID; the longer form with a country and app name in the path also works. A Google Play listing looks like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.company.app, where the value after id= is the Android package name.

To find them, open your app in the store and use Share, then copy the link. The App ID is also visible in the address of the App Store page and in App Store Connect; the package name is the id= value in the Play address and in the Play Console. If you enter only the ID or package name, the tool builds the full store URL for you.

One static QR code cannot detect the phone it is scanned by. If an iPhone scans a Google Play code it lands on a web page for the Android app, and the reverse is also true. There are two honest solutions: print two codes labelled with each store's name, or use the multi-link QR tool to put both store buttons on one small landing page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can one QR code send iPhone users to the App Store and Android users to Google Play?

Not with a static code, because it holds a single fixed address and cannot see the phone. Use one code per store, or make a multi-link QR that shows both store links on a small landing page.

Where do I find the numeric App ID?

It is the number after id in the App Store address of your app, and it is also listed in App Store Connect. Only digits go into the field.

What is the Android package name?

It is the unique identifier of the app, written like com.company.app. You can read it after id= in the Google Play link or in the Play Console.

Will the code still work if I update the app?

Yes. The code points to the store listing, not to a specific version. It stops working only if the app is removed from the store or its identifier changes.
